Refer A Friend Terms and Conditions

• These terms apply to individuals or businesses who are accessing or using this promotion as a referrer (“you” or “referrer”) and to individuals or businesses (“referee”) who you refer to Caunce O’Hara & Company Limited, trading as Caunce O’Hara (“we”). By accessing or using this promotion, you agree to use the promotion in the manner specified in, and are bound by, these terms and conditions.

• The Caunce O’Hara refer a friend promotion is open to customers of Caunce O’Hara with a live policy at the time of the referee purchasing cover.

• The referrer and referee will each receive a £20 GiftPay Flexi eGift Card for each successful referral. A successful referral consists of the referee’s policy still being live 60 days after the inception date with at least one payment made.

• The referrer acknowledges that we will share limited personal data, including their name and email address with https://giftpay.co.uk/ for the purposes of sending the e-voucher only.

• The refer a friend promotion is available through Caunce O’Hara only.

• Referrers can refer as many people or businesses as they like, however that person or business can only be referred once. Referrers cannot refer existing policyholders or clients who have previously held a policy with Caunce O’Hara.

• In the event of the referee’s policy being cancelled within 60 days from the inception date, no reward shall be paid.

• Referees must purchase a policy with an annual premium of more than £40 in order for the referrer to be eligible for the reward.

• This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

• The e-gift card will be dispatched to the referrer at least 60 days after the successful referral.

• No cash alternative is available.

• Referrers can find their unique Caunce O’Hara refer a friend link by logging into Caunce O’Hara account.

• The referee must use the unique Caunce O’Hara referral link provided to them by the referrer in order to purchase their policy, or quote the referee’s policy number (in the format ‘COH’ followed by five numbers) if purchasing over the telephone. Referrals that do not use this mechanism will not qualify for the reward.

• The referrer and the referee cannot be the same person.

• We reserve the right to cancel the referee’s policy at any time in accordance with the terms and conditions of that policy.

• We reserve the right to withdraw this promotion if, in our opinion, the promotion is being abused.

• We reserve the right to refuse the issue of any reward or promotion to any referrer (or referee in the event of a seasonal campaign).

• We reserve the right to change or amend the reward or structure of this promotion at any time without notice.

• We reserve the right to provide substitute rewards of a similar value should the specified reward be unavailable.

• We make no representation or warranty in relation to the reward provided and to the fullest extent permitted by the law shall have no liability to the referrer or referee in relation to any reward, its fitness for purpose, merchantability or otherwise.

• Bulk email distribution, distribution to strangers, or any other promotion of Caunce O’Hara in a manner that would constitute or appear to constitute unsolicited commercial email or “spam” is expressly prohibited.

• Caunce O’Hara is under no obligation to monitor each referrer’s participation in the promotion.

• You may not participate in the promotion where doing so would be prohibited by any applicable law or regulations.

• This promotion and these terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and each party irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to all claims arising out of or in connection with this promotion and these terms.
