In July 2015, Caunce O’Hara we received a number of calls from anxious social workers who were members of the College of Social Work (TCSW).
The closure of TCSW left approximately 17,000 members without insurance which is vital to them in order to comply with their contracts of work, namely Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and Employers Liability. Without these forms of cover in place they have been left exposed to any potential claims.
Through speaking with social workers who contacted us we were able to understand your needs and expectations. Fast-forward to 2020 and we provide competitive business insurance cover for hundreds of social workers across the UK.
We are able to offer cover for a wide range of professions within the social work sector, such as:
This, combined with our simple speedy online system where documents can be issued within a matter of minutes, we felt could really support yourselves and other social workers in providing the cover you need with no fuss at an incredibly competitive price, making it a smooth transition in acquiring new insurance cover.
The feedback for our competitive prices, levels of cover and the ease in setting up new policies has been very positive.
At Caunce O’Hara we have a passion for empowering freelance professionals and assisting them in an increasingly litigious world and as such we hope to see many more social workers taking advantage of our products and services.
If you are a social worker and would like to discuss the business insurance policies we can offer you, please call 0333 321 1403 or email schemes@caunceohara.co.uk
